We explain about Kick Up the '80s in more detail on our Demos, Pilots & Showreels page.

About Geoff
Geoff started his career at the age of 13 and within five years was one of the Mecca Group's top three DJs, being used as an opening act for their new venue's nationwide. During the '60s when package tours were at the height of their popularity, Geoff could be found compering shows, including Animals, Kinks, Spencer Davis, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Tremeloes, Searchers and Tommy Roe to name but a few. What's more, Geoff was the compere on the second ever gig by Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac's early shows.

Come the late '60s, Geoff was on the radio with the BBC Radio One and in 1975 became one of Radio Hallam's first voices when the station launched with a huge listenership. Geoff has also worked on Q102 in Florida, USA and KZUN in Dallas. In the '80s, you'd have heard him on the legendary pirate radio station, Sunshine Radio and a couple of years ago, Geoff could be heard on 102.5 Skyline FM - a community radio station in Hampshire.

With his award-winning antique rock show format, Geoff is now working on a number of specialist radio shows and can currently be heard on a number of stations in the UK, with special mention of his work with Express FM who carry The Soft Rock Show, co-presented with Gary Jackson. The show has reached a cult status and Geoff & Gary have interviewed Genesis, Foreigner, Asia, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Hollies, Terry Reid, Bootleg Beatles, The Storys, Marillion, Jethro Tull, Snow Patrol and Paul Young... and that's just the start of the list! The show has carried a unique link with Mix 94 in Las Vegas in the past, and continues to draw huge names to be interviewed both live on the telephone and in the studio.

Geoff also works for Forest FM, presenting a soul and motown show on Saturday nights, All Our Yesterplays each weekday in the mornings, Kick up the '80s and the Number Ones show. Forest FM is the second-most listened to community radio station online in the UK according to official figures.

Geoff briefly worked at The Bay - a new community station in Poole - and recently won an award for The Soft Rock Show. He has also completed the Route to Radio broadcasting course, with credits, earlier this year.
