Graduates from Wiltshire to Launch Exciting New Music Web Site
Two girls from Warminster, Clare Halls and Claire Pitcher have been working together on a music project in order to boost the South West music scene across all genres as well as increase interest in bands and artists internationally.
The idea of SouthSonic started last October when they decided to put together their knowledge gained from their degrees (Clare Halls has a degree in journalism and music production and Claire Pitcher has a degree in law) to develop an exciting and independent site for music made produced and played across the South West of the UK.
Despite the recession the girls are dedicated to setting up a business and bringing the enjoyment and entertainment of music in the midst of financial turmoil by creating a home for both artists and fans. The website already has a feast of exclusive news, music available to download, music videos and articles written by their team of contributors.
As well as incorporating music and words into the website, multimedia formats will also be incorporated in order to embrace technology and take the expressive elements of music to new levels. They intend to showcase talent from the forefront of performances, while getting behind local businesses as well as encouraging international artists to visit this part of the world.
They are constantly on the lookout for exclusive news, fresh talent, new releases and local events and are trying to support local bands and artists by offering promotional videos. Additionally, anyone who is passionate and opinionated about music that enjoys writing or photography should enquire about joining the team.
Their philosophy is simple – like music? Live South? Love SouthSonic.
